The Tarot Garden: Halloween Special

This Halloween, join sisters Karen Hsu of Pom Pom Factory and Elaine Hsu for an afternoon of paper flowers, tarot and a little autumn magic at Hart Shoreditch.

Inspired by two of tarot’s Major Arcana, The Empress and Death, the afternoon explores the space between abundance and transformation. The Empress sits in her lush garden, surrounded by everything she has nurtured, while Death is really about transformation: turning the page and making space for something new. Very fitting for Halloween, when things get a little darker, stranger and more magical.

Your afternoon includes

• Creating your own paper peony bouquet of around 3 to 5 stems in deep burgundy, blush, black and autumnal tones with Karen, using beautiful Italian crepe paper
• A personal mini tarot reading with Elaine, approximately 5 to 10 minutes per person depending on final attendance, held privately in the bar area, after which you can return to your flower-making
• Your spooky handmade bouquet to take home
• Free entry into our Halloween prize draw with two winners: one receives a Pom Pom Factory bouquet, and one receives a 30-minute natal chart reading with Elaine

No flower-making or tarot experience needed. Come on your own, bring a friend, get creative and leave with something beautiful.

Optional drinks packages are available at the hotel, including prosecco, wine, tea and coffee. Drinks information will be emailed to guests ahead of the workshop.

About your hosts
Karen Hsu is the founder and creative director of Pom Pom Factory, a London-based studio known for transforming paper into intricate botanical installations and tactile creative experiences. Her work includes projects for Four Seasons, Sketch London, Nespresso, Selfridges, Liberty, Soho House, the V&A and the Royal Opera House.

Elaine Hsu is a 500-hour trained yoga teacher and certified Hellenistic astrologer, with additional training in sound healing.
